Caution Turn off water supply if it must be left unattended for an extended period of time.

Page 4: Before Installation
Before Installation Turn off the water supply to the home and setup the piping to match the diagram below. Clean all pipes and connections before continuing to the installation. Note: The filter can be used with the inlet on the right or left side. All images in the manual show the inlet on the left for reference. -

Installation 1. Before installing the pre-filter, turn off main inlet valve (Ball Valve 1), open a faucet or other water outlet to drain water from the plumbing. Note: If you don’t want to affect normal household use, you can keep the main inlet valve on by turning off Ball Valve 2, off Ball Valve 4, and on Ball Valve 3. - Page 6 2. Fully insert the PVC drain tube onto the center boss at the bottom of the filter assembly. Secure the tube through the anti-siphon opening using the provided cable tie. - Page 7 4. Wrap the exterior threads of both brass connectors in PTFE tape. 5. Install the brass connector assemblies into the inlet and outlet side of the piping. Needle nose plyers or another tool can be used to turn the brass connector using the internal ridges. Note: The space between the end faces of the two brass connectors (not brass nuts) should be about 140mm.
- Page 8 6. After assembly of copper connectors, connect the inlet connector with “IN” mark (shown on left). Connect the outlet connector with “OUT” mark (shown on right). Turn the copper nuts to secure the filter and compress the rubber washers. Note: Do not over tighten the connections. Damage and/or leaks can occur if the connections are over tightened.
- Page 9 7. The knob front side should face outwards for easy access when backwashing. To adjust the knob position, remove the upper decorative cover to access the nut holding the filter sump. Hold the filter body and rotate the connecting nut counter-clockwise to loosen. Rotate the sump and tighten the nut.
- Page 10 8. After installation of filter insert one end of the PE drain tube into the hose clamp. Install the end of the PE drain tube with the hose clamp over the large boss on the bottom of the filter assembly. Tighten the hose clamp using a screw driver. •...

9. Switch the filter to the filtration state (knob arrow face upwards). Turn on main inlet valve (ball valve 1). Turn off ball valve 3. Turn on ball valve 2 and 4 in order. Open a faucet and allow the air to bleed form the system. -

Electronics Operation • The product has a LCD backlight. When the battery is installed, press any button and the backlight will turn on for three seconds. • The product timer starts when the battery is installed and will display a default time of “000”. •... - Page 13 Backwashing The time between backwash prompts will be determined by the water quality.
