Description
Touchpad
Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Remove the bottom cover (see

Remove the touchpad:
1.
Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the touchpad cable is connected, and then disconnect the touchpad
cable from the system board.
2.
Release the clear shielding (2) that covers the top edge of the touchpad.
3.
Remove the grounding tape (3) that secures the touchpad to the top cover/keyboard.
4.
Remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 1.5 broad head screws (4) that secure the touchpad and touchpad bracket to
the computer.
5.
Remove the touchpad bracket (5).
6.
Remove the touchpad (6).
Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.
