Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Remove the bottom cover (see

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see

When you replace the system board, be sure to remove the heat sink (see
defective system board and install it on the replacement system board.
Remove the system board:
1.
Disconnect the power adapter cable (1) from the system board.
2.
Disconnect the webcam/microphone module cable (2) from the system board.
3.
Release the adhesive strip (3) that secures the display panel cable to the system board.
4.
Disconnect the display panel cable (4) from the system board.
5.
Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
Speaker cable (5)
Keyboard cable (ZIF) (6)
Keyboard backlight cable (ZIF) (7)
Touchpad cable (ZIF) (8)
6.
Remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 3.6 screws (1) that secure the system board to the computer.
7.
Lift the left side of the system board (2) until it rests at an angle.
