Description
Speakers (include cables and four rubber isolators)
Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly
2. Remove the bottom cover
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Remove the speakers:
1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board.
2. Release the speaker cable from the retention clips (2) built into the front edge of the battery.
3. Release the speaker cable from the retention clips (3) built into the top cover.
4. Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 5.4 broad head shoulder screws (4) that secure the speakers to the
computer.
5. Remove the speakers (5) from the computer.
NOTE:
absence of or damage to these isolators can result in degraded speaker performance.
To replace the speakers, reverse the removal procedures.
