WLAN RT Cartier AC 2 x 2
Before removing the WLAN module, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer
on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Base enclosure (see
b. Battery (see
c. Heat sink (see
d. System board (see
Remove the WLAN module:
NOTE: The WLAN module is located under the system board. The system board must be removed to remove
the WLAN module.
1. Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables (1) from the terminals on the WLAN module.
NOTE:
2. Remove the Phillips screw (2) that secures the WLAN module to the system board. (The WLAN module tilts
up.)
3. Remove the WLAN module (3) by pulling the module away from the slot at an angle.

The cables should already be disconnected before removing the system board.
WLAN modules are notched to prevent incorrect installation.
