Remove the heat sink (2).

Each time the heat sink is removed, thoroughly clean the thermal material from the processor component
(1) and the surface of the heat sink (2). Replacement thermal material is included with the heat sink and
system board spare part kits.
Reverse this procedure to install the heat sink.

To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations.
Full hinge-up displays are not available as spare parts. Spare parts for displays are available only at the
subcomponent level.
Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the top cover/keyboard
3.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board
