6.1 Problem Situations

Problem
The data collecting
system does not receive
data.
Sensor shaft heating is
not working.
MWV message returns a
null field (,,) for wind
speed or direction
reading.
WA25 system returns
null fields (,,) or
incorrect values.
Wind vane returns
readings with constant
deviation from the
correct direction.

Possible Cause
Improper or loose connections
Incorrect messaging settings
Power failure
Heating power is not connected
properly.
Heating is not enabled in the
transmitter settings.
The heating power supply has a
power failure.
Parameter spdvoltlimit or
dirvoltlimit has too high a
value and the sensor is
considered absent or faulty.
Parameter spdvoltlimit,
dirvoltlimit, or
powersave has a wrong value.
The cross arm is incorrectly
aligned or the offset
parameter value is wrong.
Action
Check the wiring and tighten the
screw terminals.
Check and correct the messaging
settings through the service
connection.
Make sure that the power supply is
connected and operational.
Check the wiring and tighten the

settings using the service connection.
Make sure that the power supply is
