    Printer Unit (NIC) Type D1 Part Names and Their Functions NAME FUNCTIONS Accepts the network cable.(10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T Network port auto recognition) *category 5 or above for 100BASE-TX. category 5e or above for 1000BASE-T. POWER LED Lights up when the power is turned on. (yellow) Indicates transmission status of network port.

    Setup Software The following describes the setup software, which contains setup tools, general utility and the manual. This can be used in Windows. IMPORTANT • If you are using Windows 8 or later version: when you run the installer that has been downloaded from the Website, a Windows SmartScreen message may appear.

    Printer Driver Installation IMPORTANT • Delete the printer driver for the Digital Duplicator if installed. (“Software Uninstallation” → see p.85) • Administrator rights are required to sign in for installation, deleting and setting change of the printer driver. • If operating system allows multiple users on one computer, make sure that no other user but you is signed in.

    Basic Setup Steps Follow the procedure below to print with TCP/IP. REFERENCE • Install the printer driver into your computer prior to setting up the device. • Administrator rights are required to sign in to the computer. • If operating system allows multiple users on one computer, make sure that no other user but you is signed in.

    Easy Setup Using Quick Setup You can easily setup the IP address of this product using Quick Setup. Select [Quick Setup] at the initial installation. If you have already completed the IP address setting, go on to the next step. If you need advanced setup, use AdminManager.

REFERENCE If the device is not in the search result overview, click [Search]. The device can also be selected by entering Ethernet address directly.

    FS-Monitor This monitor shows you the printer status on the screen. It resides on the desktop to present the printer status in real time.

    Installation IMPORTANT • The following steps use Windows 10 screenshots. If you are using another Windows operating system, the screenshots vary. Click [Utility] from the Main Menu (“Setup Software” → p.3 ). Click [FS-Monitor]. If [User account control] appears, click [Yes]. When entering password, enter password of administrator account and click [Yes].

    Uninstalling the Printer Driver The following describes the procedure for uninstalling the printer driver. Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 8.1/Windows 10 IMPORTANT • If you are requested to enter password of administrator account during uninstallation of the printer driver, enter the password of the user with administrative rights shown. Open [Control Panel].
