11.1 Output of system messages in the display
Meaning / cause
Message after application of elec‐
trical auxiliary power.
Fault in the hardware.
X Positioner is not initialized.
Actual position [in %] for initial‐
ized positioner. Flashing decimal
point shows communication with
a class 2 master.
Automatic mode (nn = setpoint)
Manual mode
(nn = setpoint)
Display range exceeded.
Possible causes:
● Friction clutch or
● Transmission ratio selector
was moved or
● Positioner was installed on a
different actuator without be‐
ing re-initialized.
Actuator was stopped by the dig‐
ital input.
Actuator is moved to the upper
endstop by the digital input.
Actuator is moved to the lower
endstop by the digital input.
The partial stroke test was activa‐
ted, e.g. by the digital input.
Cyclic partial stroke test.
Full stroke test running.
Step response test running.
Multi-step response test running.
Valve performance test running.
A leakage test started by commu‐
nication is running.
Diagnostics and troubleshooting
Measure
● Wait
● Replace electronics.
● Start initialization.
● Switch to automatic
mode with
● Offset friction clutch
so that, when the ac‐
tuator moves, the ac‐
tual value display
stays between 0.0 and
100.0, or
● Adjust the transmis‐
sion ratio selector or
● Perform factory set‐
tings (Preset) and initi‐
alization.
