  • Page 18 Installation Check the machine level (within 5 mm (0.2”)). Open the front cover and push the slide unit to the left. Open the exit assembly and fill the oil bottle with silicone oil. Remove the fusing unit cover (2 screws) and the pressure plate (2 non-tapping screws).
  • Page 19 Remove the charge corona unit together with the wire cleaner (1 screw). Turn the drum shaft knob CLOCKWISE and take off the drum stay. Take out the development unit and place it on a sheet of paper. Take out the cleaning unit, the erase lamp unit, and the drum flange.

The copier may be badly damaged if it is moved without proper preparation. Take off the left cover (3 screws) and fix the scanner in the home position with the scanner lock plate.
