TILT ASSIST CYLINDER

WARNING
The tilt assist cylinder contains high pres-
sure gas. To avoid personal injury, it must
not be disassembled, punctured, inciner-
ated, or exposed to heat.

Removal

Raise the engine to the full tilt position and lower
the manual tilt lock levers.
1. Manual tilt lock lever (2)
WARNING
During service, the outboard may drop
unexpectedly. To avoid personal injury,
always support the outboard's weight with
a suitable hoist.
