Removal

Remove the powerhead.
Remove the timing chain.
Use a 10 mm deep socket wrench to loosen
twelve (12) cylinder head bolts in the order indi-
cated below. Then remove the bolts.
Remove the cylinder head and the cylinder head
gasket.

Installation

Insert two (2) dowel pins. Install a new cylinder
head gasket on the cylinder head.

Make sure that the No. 1 cylinder piston is at top
dead center. Turn the camshaft to locate the
dowel pin at the top as shown.

Position the cylinder head on the engine holder.
