POWERHEAD
TIMING CHAIN AND TENSIONER
Apply Nut Lock to the threads of three (3) timing
sprocket bolts. Install and tighten the bolts to a
torque of 97 in. lbs. (11 N·m).

Install the timing chain guide. Install and tighten
two (2) bolts securely.

Insert the spacer, the washer, and the bolt into the
timing chain tensioner. Install the tensioner and
tighten the bolt securely.

After installation, apply oil to the timing chain and
the tensioner.

With the latch of the tensioner adjuster returned
and the plunger pushed into the body, insert the
stopper into the latch and the body. Make sure
that the plunger will not come out.

Install the timing chain tensioner adjuster.
Apply Nut Lock to the threads of two (2) bolts.
Install and tighten the bolts to a torque of 97 in.
lbs. (11 N·m).
