Configuring the RS485 Bus for Battery and Meter
Connection
This section describes how to set up the RS485 communication between
the inverter, Meter and one battery.
For information on configuring two batteries, refer to the StorEdge
Applications Connection and Configuration Guide available at
http://www.solaredge.com/sites/default/files/storedge_applications_connection_
and_configuration_guide_na.pdf
Some inverters are equipped with a built-in Revenue Grade Meter (RGM), which is
located in the StorEdge Connection Unit. When an additional meter is installed for these
inverters, the second meter is connected to the existing RGM in a daisy chain.
To configure communication with the battery over RS485:
 1. Turn OFF or verify that the StorEdge Connection Unit switch is OFF.
 2. Turn the inverter ON/OFF switch to OFF.
 3. Select Communication è RS485-1 Conf è Device Type è Multi Devices. A list of
devices is displayed.

If an RGM is installed, it is pre-configured to Meter 1:

 4. Select Meter 2. The meter configuration screen is displayed (SolarEdge meters are
