FUEL TANK AND FUEL COCK

Removal / Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove the recoil starter. (See page 5-2)
2. Remove the two bolts securing the fuel tank.
3. Remove the fuel hoses from the fuel cock and immedi-
ately plug the fuel tank hose in order to avoid fuel flow
from the tank.
Wipe up fuel spills immediately.
4. Remove the two screws and the fuel cock from the lower
cover.
INSTALLATION
Installation is reverse order of removal with special attention
to the following steps.
Before installing the fuel tank, drain all fuel from the tank.
Tighten the fuel tank mounting bolts to the specified
torque.
Fuel tank mounting bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kg-m; 7.0 lb-ft)
Check the fuel hose routing. (See page 9-3 and 9-4)
Check for fuel leakage.
