9. Remove the screws securing the inverter to the mounting brackets and lift the inverter from the
mounting bracket.
NOTE
If you remove the old inverter and do not immediately install a new one, then:
Lock the DC Safety Unit in the OFF position using a lock on the switch.

Secure the DC Safety Unit bracket to the wall/pole, using 3 screws
o
Use insulation tape to isolate each of the AC and DC wires.
o
Seal the open conduits using duct tape.
o
Install the DC Safety Unit sealing cover supplied with the inverter a nd secure with retaining clips.
o
10. Place the new inverter on the mounting brackets and secure it using the screws.
11. Insert the wires from the inverter into the openings in the DC Safety Unit.
12. Fasten the two clips securing the DC Safety Unit to the inverter.
13. Reconnect the cables: Follow the instructions of Installing the Inverter on page 23.
14. Close the inverter cover.
15. Perform the commissioning steps as described in Commissioning the Installation on page 32.

Replacing the DC Safety Unit

1. Turn OFF the AC circuit breaker.
2. Turn OFF the inverter ON/OFF switch, and wait until the LCD indicates that the DC voltage is safe
(<50V), or wait five minutes before continuing to the next step.
WARNING!
If you cannot see the inverter panel, or if a malfunction is indicated on the LCD panel, wait five
minutes for the input capacitors of the inverter to discharge.
