Additional Features Tab – Emergency Alerts
Emergency Alerts allow for an announcement to be triggered & latched by calling a pre-
configured Emergency extension and hanging up. The announcement will continue to play
until a different "Cancel" extension is called to clear the announcement (or a defined
timeout is reached). The Emergency Alerts are useful for emergency notifications (e.g.
evacuation, lock down, medical emergency, etc.), allowing staff to quickly dial a pre-
configured number under such circumstances.
If the "Answer Inbound Call" option is "Enabled" the call is auto-answered and a
confirmation tone is played before starting the alert. If "Disabled", the alert is triggered just
by the inbound ring, without answering the call. (In both instances, the announcement will
