    Use the following procedures to select a test pattern. To select a test pattern: 1. From the main window of the 980 SDI Video Generator module, click the Pattern tab to access the list of test patterns. 2. Select a test pattern from the list by clicking or selecting it. There is a scroll bar on the right to allow access to the entire list by browsing.

    Use the following procedures to create a custom list of test patterns. The Pattern List Editor can be used either on the embedded 980 GUI Manager or the external 980 GUI Manager. The examples in this procedure use the external 980 GUI Manager.

The analyzer functionality emulates a 12G-SDI display device. The module provides real time view of the incoming source video and ancillary data.

    PID Override – The PID Override selection opens up a dialog box for configuring the Payload ID Override. The Payload ID Override enables the 980 SDI Analyzer function to either: 1) Ignore the incoming Payload ID and use the values you define in the PID Override dialog box or 2) Use the incoming Payload ID from the source.

    Payload ID Override The 980 SDI Video Analyzer enables you to override the incoming Payload ID and configure how the analyzer will interpret the incoming video. This is useful when you are testing an SDI source video stream with a corrupt or invalid Payload ID.

The Write activation button configures the Payload ID override information such that the 980 SDI Write Analyzer function interprets the incoming video with the Payload ID values you have configured to override the incoming Payload ID.
