WARNING
The Accu-Chek FastClix finger pricker is intended for patient self-monitoring by an individual person
only. It must not be used to collect blood from more than one person as it does not incorporate any
features to guard against cross-infection.

You must not insert the lancet drum into the finger pricker and simultaneously press the release
button or hold the finger pricker with the release button resting on a surface such as a table top. This
could release a lancet and inadvertently cause injury.

WARNING
Any object coming into contact with human blood is a potential source of infection (see: Clinical and
Laboratory Standards Institute: Protection of Laboratory Workers from Occupationally Acquired
Infections; Approved Guideline – Third Edition; CLSI document M29-A3, 2005).

Taking a Fingertip Blood Sample

Wash and dry your hands.
The Accu-Chek FastClix Finger Pricker

Make sure you select the
correct cap.
Adjust the penetration
depth by turning the
comfort dial.

Press the finger pricker
firmly against the side of
your fingertip.
Press the release button
on the end of the finger
pricker all the way down
to prime the lancet and
prick the finger.

Load the next lancet by
sliding the lever forward
then slide it back all the
way.
The lancet counter
decreases one number.
