Normally, you need not update the registration. But when the optional Paper Feed Unit or the Duplex Unit is installed, updating the registration is useful in some cases.

    Other Printing Problems Status Toner smears appear on the print side of the page. Paper gets wrinkles. The color of the printout is dif- ferent from the color specified. Color changes extremely when adjusted with the printer driver. Photo images are coarse. Black gradation is not natural.
  • Page 70 Troubleshooting Status It takes too much time to com- plete the print job. It takes too much time to resume printing. Multiple pages are fed at once. Paper is not fed from the select- ed tray. Possible Causes, Descriptions, and Solutions Photographs and other data intensive pages take a long time for the printer to process, so simply wait when printing such data.
  • Page 71 Status Paper jams occur frequently. Solid areas, lines or text are shiny or glossy when created as a mixture of cyan, magenta, yel- low. Solid lines are printed as broken lines. The color of the printout is dif- ferent from the color on the computer's display.
