They contain important information about how to switch on the device and how to operate it. Read through these Operating Instructions carefully - the safety in- structions in particular - before using the hands-free device.

This signal word indicates a high-level hazard which could cause death or serious injury if not avoided. WARNING! This signal word indicates a mid-level hazard which could cause death or serious injury if not avoided.

    General Safety Correct use The hands-free device is designed to be used exclusively as such. The hands-free device is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use. The hands-free device should only be used as directed by these Operating Instructions.

    Safety Safety information WARNING! Danger of electrocution! Faulty electrical installations or excessive mains voltage can cause electrocution. Bluetooth® devices work with shortwave radio signals. These can interfere with other electronic devices including medical devices. − Disconnect the hands-free device in areas where its use is pro- hibited.

Repairs should be carried out by a licensed professional. Contact a specialist workshop. All liability and warranty claims shall be void in case of repairs carried out by users themselves, or due to incorrect cable insertion/connection, or through improper use.

    Getting started Getting started Basic cleaning • Remove packaging material and all protective foil. • Before using the device for the first time, clean all parts of the hands-free device as indicated in the chapter on Cleaning. NOTE! Danger of damage! Improper handling of the hands-free device can result in damage.

    Getting started Charging the battery The integrated lithium-polymer battery must be charged before using the Maginon BHF-35 hands-free device with Bluetooth®. A low battery level is indicated by an audible signal from the hands-free device. Connect the supplied Mini USB cable to the Mini USB port on the device and a USB port on an external power supply.

  • Page 23: Connecting Via Bluetooth

    Getting started give audible confirmations via voice messages. You can select the language for these voice messages by pressing the "M" key on the back of the device. The language must be selected before pairing and connecting to a mobile device or smartphone. If you want to change the language after pairing with another mobile device or smartphone, first deactivate the Bluetooth connection on your mobile device, then set the language on the hands-free device and...

    Getting started When the device switches off or is more than 10 metres away from your mobile device or smartphone, the connection will automatically be terminated and you will hear a beep. The blue LED light on the hands-free device will flash. If the device is switched on again or it is brought within 10 metres of your mobile device or smartphone, the connection will automatically re-establish and you will hear a voice message saying "connected".
