NOTE:
Only the two inverters at the ends of the chain should be terminated for best
performance. The other inverters in the chain should have the termination switch
OFF.
6
Choose a single inverter to be the connection point between the RS485 bus
and the SolarEdge Monitoring Server.
7
Connect the Master, as described above, to the SolarEdge Monitoring Server
via either Ethernet, as described in the Creating an Ethernet (LAN)
Connection section on page 49, or RS232, as described in the Creating an
RS232 (UART) Connection section on page 47.
Ensure that you select either the Ethernet or RS232 option under the
Communication  Server menu, as described in the Configuring the
Inverter Using the LCD Panel and User Buttons section on page 67.
On the Master inverter under the Communication menu, configure the
RS485 option of the inverter to MASTER, as described in the
Configuring the Inverter Using the LCD Panel and User Buttons section
on page 67.
Select the Slave Detect option to initiate automatic detection of the
Slave inverters that are connected to this Master inverter. This verifies
that they are configured as Slaves.
The Master should report the correct number of slaves. If it does not,
verify the connections and terminations as described above.
8
Verify the connection of the Master to the SolarEdge Server, as described in
the Verifying the Connection section below.
A power reduction interface terminal block is located on the communication
board, shown in Figure 20. You may refer to the SolarEdge Power Reduction
Interface User Guide for more details.
