Setting Backup-Only

To access the Energy Ctrl menu:
1. Enter Setup mode, scroll down to the Power Control menu and select it. A menu similar to the
following is displayed:

2. Select Energy Manager. The following screen is displayed:

Limit Control: For power limitation (including export limitation) configuration. This option can be
used in parallel to energy control. For more information refer to
http://www.solaredge.us/files/pdfs/products/export_limitation_application_note_NA.pdf.
E: Export limit

P: Production limit

Dis: Disabled - no limit
o
Energy Control: The method by which to manage the energy.
Storage Control: Enables reserving a minimum battery charge level.
3. Select Energy Ctrl.. The following is displayed, showing the SolarEdge applications:

Max Self-consume (MSC): Maximize Self-consumption
Time of Use (TOU): Charge/Discharge Profile Programming
Backup Only: Supply power to loads during power outage
Disable: No energy control, that is, the battery is not used
Setting Backup-Only
When the inverter is set to Backup-only mode, the battery will discharge to supply power to the backed-
up loads only upon power outage.
To set up Backup-only:
1. Access the Energy Ctrl menu as described above.
