Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the following components:
a.
Service door (see

Remove the battery (see
c.
Hard drive (see
d.
Solid-state drive (see
e.
WWAN module (see
f.
WLAN module (see
g.
Optical drive (see
Remove the keyboard:
1.
Remove the 3 M 2x4L screws that secure the keyboard to the computer.
2.
Position the computer open and on its side.
