    4.2. Inserting the batteries Open the battery cover below the strap by slightly pressing the side clamp inwards and removing the cover. Insert three batteries from type AAA (1.5V) or batteries of the same specifi cation correspondingly with the opposite fi gure. While doing so, place the black strips under the batteries in order to make it easier to remove them later.

    5. Menu settings 5.1. Video menu In order to make settings for video recordings, initially change into the video mode with the DV/DSC button. Then press the MENU button in order to open the video menu. The following settings are available in the video menu: Film size: Video recordings with 1280 x 720 pixels.

    White balance: Auto The white balance occurs automatically. Daylight For outdoor recordings with bright daylight. Cloudy For outdoor recordings with clouds.     5.3. Playback menu In order to change settings in the menu of the playback mode, select the playback mode press the MENU button. The following settings are available in the playback menu: Protect: Protect one Protect individual recording from accidental deletion. Protect all Protect all recordings from accidental deletion.

    Voice note: (only for photo recordings) Add a voice note to a photo. With the OK-button, a voice recording is started and ended. Delete Delete the voice note for a photo. Start image: (only for photo recordings) Set the selected photo as the start image. Cancel Exit the menu.

    6. Usage of the digital video camera 6.1. Recording videos Turn on the video camera and use the DV/DSC-button to change into the video mode. This is marked with a video symbol in the upper left corner. In the video mode, press the button in order to start a video recording or to end a current video recording.

    6.4. Playing recordings In order to playback video, photo and audio recordings, initially change into the playback mode with the button. This is marked with a playback symbol in the upper left corner. With the LEFT and RIGHT buttons, select the recoding that you would like to play back. If there is a video or audio recording, you can start and end the playback by pressing the button.

    7.2. Downloading recordings In order to transfer videos and photos from the video camera to a computer, the “MSDC” mode must be selected under “USB”. Connect the device through a USB cable (USB cable not included in the scope of delivery) with a USB connection from the computer and turn on the video camera.
