    4.6. Inserting and charging the battery Insert battery into camcorder as shown and push until it clicks into position (see left image). To charge battery, connect USB cable to USB connection of camcorder. The USB cable can be connected to the mains using the supplied USB power adapter or can be directly connected to a standard USB port of your computer.
  • Page 12 To achieve optimum spray water protection for the camcorder, the waterproof sealing cap must be used. Prior to positioning the sealing cap, the sealing ring should also be covered with a thin layer of the supplied silicon grease, in particular when used in rainy weather or on water.

    If the mode switch is switched to  the red LED display is permanently on. If, however, the 8 mode is selected, the blue LED is permanently on. The device is then ready to record. You can also change the mode switch in the switched-on state. If no memory card has been inserted or if the inserted memory card is faulty, the LED display ashes red in the Video mode and blue/purple in the Photo mode.

    5.4. Taking photos To take photos slide mode switch to left to 8. Switch on camcorder and wait until blue LED is permanently on. To start taking photos, brie y depress the On/O switch. The LED starts to ash blue and a photo is taken every 4 seconds. The camcorder vibrates every time a photo is taken.

    7. Use of xings The supplied accessory o ers numerous ways to secure the Maginon® Action Sports HD 1 when carrying out your outdoor activities. The camcorder comes with a bicycle or motorbike, helmet and arm xing, extensions and sticky pads to ensure secure xing.

    7.2. Cycle xing Use the supplied cycle xing to secure the camcorder to a frame of a cycle, motorbike or another rod. Open the xing by partially undoing both bolts and turning away the bottom section. Place the top section around a suitable part of the frame and replace the bottom section.
  • Page 21 Note that the self-adhesive pads contain two di erent adhesive surfaces. The surface to be permanently attached is covered with white paper. This side is generally stuck to the helmet xing. The adhesive side covered with red foil can be reused. This side is stuck to the surface of the place of installation and can be pulled o again.
  • Page 22 The helmet xing consists of two parts, a base plate and the inserted xing device. The xing device can be removed from the base plate by pushing together the two brackets and sliding out the xing device. In this way the base plate can be left at the place of installation, allowing quick removal of the camcorder.

    7.4. Arm xing Together with the Velcro strap the arm xing is used to secure the camcorder to uneven surfaces such as an arm or a sailing mast. Pull the Velcro strap as shown in the image below through the guide slots of the arm xing, until tight.
