EMERGENCY CHECKLIST

3.3.1

ENGINE FIRE DURING START

Starter ........................................................ Crank engine
Continue to get a start that would suck the flames and
accumulated fire into the engine.
If engine starts:
 Power ........................... 1700 RPM for a few minutes
 Engine .... Shut down by pulling mixture to idle cut-off
Have a qualified technician thoroughly inspect the engine
If engine fails to start:
 Mixture
 Throttle
 Fuel Selector ........................................................ Off
Have a qualified technician thoroughly inspect the engine
IF FIRE PERSISTS:
Fire Extinguisher .......................... If safe to do so, remove
IF UNABLE TO EXTINGUISH FIRE, ABANDON
AIRCRAFT AND SUMMON HELP.
