Turn the audio board upside down, with the audio connectors toward you.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×3.0 screws (1) that secure the modem module to the audio board.
NOTE: The audio board cable ground loop (2) is secured by the modem module rear screw.
Lift the modem module (3) straight up to disconnect it from the audio board.
Remove the audio board.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC Adapter from the computer.
