Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Release the wireless antenna cables from the clips (3) built into the base enclosure. CAUTION: Support the display assembly when removing the following screws. Failure to support the display assembly can result in damage to the display assembly and other computer components.

    Restoring and recovering your system Creating recovery media and backups After you successfully set up the computer, create HP Recovery media. This step creates a backup of the HP Recovery partition on the computer. The backup can be used to reinstall the original operating system in cases where the hard drive is corrupted or has been replaced.
