Note
: If you install Windows without using Express Setup,
Before installing the operating system, adjust the system
date and time by using the BIOS setup utility "SETUP." See
Chapter 4 for detail.
The following message window may be popped up at the
start of the PAM service, such as PAM installation and sys-
tem startup when using FastTrak S150-SX4 S-ATA RAID
controller.
"Array scheduled synchronization has not been set up."
This indicates that the periodical consistency check (syn-
chronization) of arrays has not been set. Installation will be
finished successfully even if the message is popped up.
You can set the periodical synchronization using the Array
Synchronization Schedule function of PAM.
You are strongly recommended to regularly execute syn-
chronization because synchronization is very effective in
preventive maintenance. For more information on scheduled
synchronization, see the description of the scheduling func-
tion in "Promise Array Management User's Guide" included
in NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM.
The following message is also registered in the PAM log and
system event log files.
