4. Remove the disk carrier tray from the bay where you are installing the hard
disk drive. The disk carrier tray is released by removing the two screws
holding it in place (see "Figure 4 - 11: Releasing the Disk Carrier Tray" on
page 4-17).

5. Slide the disk carrier tray out the front of the chassis. See "Figure 4 - 12:
Removing the Disk Carrier Tray" on page 4-17. Save the disk carrier tray and
screws for reinstallation.

6. Remove the device from its protective wrapper and place it on an antistatic
surface. Record the drive model and serial number in the equipment log.
7. Set any drive jumpers or switches before you install the drive. See the
documentation that comes with the device for jumper or switch information.
8. Place the drive into the disk carrier tray removed in step 4 above. Make sure
the drives component side down and with the power and data connectors
facing the rear of the carrier. The connectors should be flush with the rear of
