DriveAdjustment
Thedrivesystem consists of pulleys, a belt, andacablelinkingthe transmission t o
the drivehandle.Asthesecomponents w earadjustment m aybeneeded. T oadjust
the drivelinkageperformthe following:
1. Rotatethe drivecablefitting located on the left upperhandleupward.See
Figure 26.

Pullthe fitting away from the handle.
Unhook the cableandremove the metalbushing from the plasticdrive
handle.SeeFigure 27.
Replace b ushing in the lowerholeandreattachthe cablethroughthe
bushingandlowerhole inthe handle.SeeFigure 28.

5. Reinsert t hedrivecablefitting intothe upperhandle androtateit
downward.
6. Startthe mowerandcheck the functionof the drivehandle.
_ AUTION: If the driveisengaged withoutpushing on the
handleafterthisadjustmentismadereturnthe cableto its original
positionon the plasticdrivehandle.
