1.15 Doctor Sleeve Gap Adjustment
Tool required: Doctor sleeve jig
Method
(1) Remove the developer unit from machine, take
out the upper cover (2 screws), and discharge
the developer material.
(2) Place the developer unit on a flat surface.
(3) Turn the leveler adjustment screws and ad-
just it using the step "0.45" into the gap be-
tween the sleeve and leveler.
(4) Check that step "0.40" can move smoothly in
the front and rear direction in the gap between
the sleeve and leveler, while step "0.50" can-
not be inserted.
(5) Reassemble the upper cover of developer
unit.
Notes: 1. Align the position of sleeve marking with that
of the leveler, when checking or adjusting the
gap between the sleeve and the leveler.
2. When assembling the upper cover, fasten the
hooks with a screw after fully inserting them.
3. After reassembling the upper cover, pay at-
tention to avoid overlapping of the side seal
(front and rear) and the rubber seal.
