• This function does not work when "Analog
Direct" is being used.
• Frequencies for Bass and Treble are fixed.
• Depending on the audio format, the receiver
may play back signals at a lower sampling
frequency than the original sampling frequency
of the input signals.
Using the Pure Direct
function
The Pure Direct mode lets you enjoy higher
fidelity sound. When Pure Direct is on, the
display panel lights off to suppress noise
that affects sound quality. You can use the
Pure Direct function with all inputs.

Select "Sound Effects" from the
home menu, then press

Select "Pure Direct", then press

Select "On" or "Off", then press

Note
When Pure Direct function is selected, "Sound
Optimizer", "Equalizer", "Auto Volume", and
"D.Range Comp." do not work.
Tip
You can also use PURE DIRECT button on the
remote control or receiver to turn on or off the
Pure Direct function.

To cancel Pure Direct
The Pure Direct function will be canceled
when you perform the following:
– Press PURE DIRECT again.
– Change the sound field.
– Change the scene setting on the TV
.
(Scene Select).
– Change the setting of "Sound Optimizer",
"Equalizer", "Auto Volume", or
"D.Range Comp.".
Resetting sound fields
to the default settings
Be sure to use the buttons on the receiver to
perform this operation.

Press ?/1 to turn off the receiver.

While holding down MUSIC, press

"S.F. CLEAR" appears on the display
panel and all sound fields are reset to
their default setting.
