Steps:
1) Choose t he D DNS T ype a s H iDDNS.
2) Enter t he S erver A ddress w ww.hik-­‐online.com.
3) Enter t he D omain n ame o f t he c amera. T he d omain i s t he s ame w ith t he d evice a lias i n t he H iDDNS
server.
4) Click S ave t o s ave t he n ew s ettings.
Note: A r eboot i s r equired f or t he s ettings t o t ake e ffect.
CONFIGURING S NMP S ETTINGS
Purpose:
You c an s et t he S NMP f unction t o g et c amera s tatus, p arameters a nd a larm r elated i nformation a nd m anage
the c amera r emotely w hen i t i s c onnected t o t he n etwork.
Before y ou s tart:
Before s etting t he S NMP, p lease d ownload t he S NMP s oftware a nd m anage t o r eceive t he c amera i nformation
via S NMP p ort. B y s etting t he T rap A ddress, t he c amera c an s end t he a larm e vent a nd e xception m essages t o
the s urveillance c enter.
Note: T he S NMP v ersion y ou s elect s hould b e t he s ame a s t hat o f t he S NMP s oftware. A nd y ou a lso n eed t o
use t he d ifferent v ersion a ccording t o t he s ecurity l evel y ou r equired. S NMP v 1 p rovides n o s ecurity a nd S NMP
v2 r equires p assword f or a ccess. A nd S NMP v 3 p rovides e ncryption a nd i f y ou u se t he t hird v ersion, H TTPS
protocol m ust b e e nabled.
