Connecting the water drain

– The drain is equipped with a non-return valve which prevents waste
water from flowing back into the dishwasher through the drain
hose.
– The dishwasher should preferably be connected to a separate on-
site drainage system. If no separate connection is available, we
recommend connection to a double chamber siphon. The on-site
connection must be between 1 ft (0.3 m) and 3' 3" (1 m) height,
measured from the lower edge of the appliance. If the connection is
lower than 1 ft. (0.3 m) the drain hose must be placed in an arc at
least 1 ft (0.3 m) high.
– The dishwasher is equipped with a 4' 11" (1.5 m) flexible drain hose
with an internal diameter of 7/8" (22 mm). Hose clips are supplied
with the dishwasher.
– The drain hose may not be shortened. An additional hose and
adapter can be used to extend the drain hose. The drain hose
length must not exceed 13' 1 1/2" (4 m).
– The drainage system must be able to accommodate a minimum
drainage flow of 42 gpm (16 l/min).
 Make sure that there are no kinks in the hose, and that it is not
squashed or stretched.
