Wiring
Be sure to turn off the ignition and remove the negative (-) battery cable, prior to
l
wiring.
Note:
When you remove the negative (-) battery cable, all the equipments supplied by
the car battery (Clock, on-board drive or navigation computer, e.t.c.) may stop
working or lose their memory.
Connect the power leads (Red and Yellow) after all other connections have been
l
made.
Be sure to locate the wiring away from the Shift lever, Hand brake, Seat rail, e.t.c.
l
Keep the leads away from the areas subject to high temperatures, such as near
l
the
heater
outlets.
Speaker wiring
Be sure to observe the wiring polarity (+) and (-) to ensure that the speakers are
l
connected correctly.
The impedance of the speakers should be 4 - 8 0.
l
Do not connect any speaker wires to the metal body or chassis of the vehicle.
l
Connect each speaker wire directly to each speaker terminal.
Do not use the speaker wires supplied inside the vehicle unless you are sure that
l
there are separate positive and negative leads for each speaker.
Location for installation
Where it may disturb driving
l
Where it may place the passenger in danger
l
Where it interferes with the opening and closing of glove box or ash tray
l
In dusty locations
l
Near magnetic fields
l
Where hot air is discharged from the car heater or where it is exposed to direct
l
sunlight
Where rain can enter the unit, or where it may be exposed to high humidity
l
Mount the unit firmly in place to prevent shaking.
l
Inclination
angle:
Install the unit as close to a horizontal position as possible. If the unit must be
inclined, the angle should be 30" or less.
Be sure to use the supplied accessories for installation.
l
Do not use any of the screws that are part of the brake or steering system, to
l
install the unit.
Be careful not to snag any wires.
l
When drilling the dashboard, make sure there is nothing behind it beforehand.
l
When wiring and installation is finished
Make sure that all the electrical equipment (break lamps, lights, horn, flasher, wipers,
e.t.c.)
operate
normally.
