TUNER SECTION
Cautions during repair
When the tuner unit is defective, replace it by a new one because
its internal block is difficult to repair.
TEST MODE
This set have the test mode function. In the test mode, FM Auto
Scan/Stop Level and AM Auto Scan/Stop Level adjustments can be
performed easier than it in ordinary procedure.
<Set the Test Mode>
1. Supply 14.4 V DC to ACC and Back-up.
2. Push the PWR button to turn the tuner off. The tuner enters the
time display mode.
3. Turn the ACC power OFF.
4. Turn the ACC power ON by pushing the ^ and 1 keys simul-
taneously for longer than 4 seconds.
5. Push the 4 key twice within 1 second after releasing the ^ and
1 keys. All indications on the display will light up.
6. Push the PWR button once. "

7. Push the 1 key once. The tuner enters the Tuner SD ADJ mode.
<Release the Test Mode>
1. Push the PWR button once while the tuner is in the Tuner SD
ADJ mode. The Tuner SD ADJ mode will be released and the

Note on Adjustment
The adjustments of tuner section, should be performed according
to the following sequence.
