Installing the USB Driver and Ethernet Diagnostic Utility
Congratulations on your purchase of a D-Link DSL-302G ADSL Modem!
This booklet will guide you through the initial installation steps necessary to be up and running on your ADSL
service provider's network in minutes!
There are two options available to set up the modem:
Use the DSL-302G Installation Utility located on the CD included with the modem. This Quick
Installation Guide contains illustrated step-by-step instructions on how to use the Installation Utility.
Use your browser software (such as Internet Explorer) to access the embedded management software on
the DSL-302G modem. This method requires that your computer's Ethernet network interface be
configured to "Obtain an IP Address automatically". See the DSL-302G User's Guide for instructions on
how to change the IP settings on your computer so you can access the modem's management and
configuration software from your Internet browser.
IMPORTANT
Using the DSL-302G Installation Utility

DSL-302G ADSL Ethernet Modem User's Guide
If you will use the DSL-302G's USB port to connect to your computer, do not
connect the USB cable to the modem until you have finished all of the steps to
