Problem
The sensors do
not react to touch.
The appliance
cannot be
operated.
The coffee
machine does not
switch itself on,
although the
"Switch on at"
setting has been
activated for the
timer.
The display is
hard to see or not
able to be read.
"Fill and replace
the water
container"
appears in the
display even
though the water
container is full
and in the
machine.
"Fill and replace
the water
container"
appears after
switching on even
though the
container is filled
and fitted in the
machine.
The appliance
does not rinse.

Possible cause and remedy
There is a fault inside the appliance.
^ Disconnect the machine from the electricity supply by
switching off at the wall socket and withdrawing the plug,
or switching off the mains fuse.
The system lock has been activated.
^ You need to deactivate the system lock (see "Settings -
System lock").
The machine was not used after being switched on
automatically three times in succession.
^ Switch the machine on and dispense a drink.
The display brightness has been set too low.
^ Change this setting (see "Settings - Display brightness").
The water container is not in the correct position.
^ Remove the water container and push it back in again.
The water container was not correctly filled and refitted for
descaling.
^ Fill the water container to the descaling symbol F and
restart the descaling programme.
The coffee machine needs descaling.
^ Switch the machine off with the On/Off K sensor. Wait
approx. 1 hour.
^ Then switch the machine on again. As soon as "Heating-up
phase" appears in the display, touch x and select
"Descale the appliance".
^ Descale the coffee machine.
