6.3 Using a mixer
If a mixer is being used:
Select
'Line'
on the XLR input switches at the camera rear
Select
'Rear'
on the input select switch for Channels 1 and 2
Select
'Front'
for Channels 3 and 4 to get some additional sound on the front mic
Always use manual level control
Adjust the level controls so that tone from a mixer reaches -18.

6.4 Monitoring audio

Always listen to the audio quality by using the supplied headphones.
The headphone monitoring panel is on the side of the camera:
Turn the ALARM dial fully down or an annoying beeping will be
heard for a nearly flat battery or media near full.
Adjust headphone volume by adjusting the MONITOR dial.
It's only possible to listen to either channels one and two, or
channels three and four.

average around -20
peaking to -12.
