When you finish setting the start values, press the
[SET] button.
When the "RUN MODE" (➝ page 92) menu item is set to
"FREE RUN," the time code starts advancing immediately.
To cancel this setting, press the [EXIT] button or
[CANCEL] button.
Time code when no power is supplied
When no power is supplied, the backup function works to en-
able the time code generator to provide long-term (about
three months) operation.
Note:
• If backing up becomes no longer possible because the unit has
not been used for a long period of time, the "BACKUP BATT
EMPTY" warning will be displayed when the power of the unit is
turned on and the date and time of the unit will need to be set
again. (See "Setting the Year, Month, Day, and Time" page 25
and "BACKUP BATT EMPTY" page 113.)
• When the setting of the "SYSTEM MODE" - "LINE&FREQ" (➝
page 106) menu item is changed, the run data is cleared.

(➝ page 92) menu items to "EXT."

Select the external input time code type in the "EXT
TC SEL" (➝ page 93) menu item.
EXT LTC:
Records the LTC signals input to the
TIME CODE IN connector (BNC) on the
rear panel.
S/H LTC:
Records the LTC signals added to the
signals input to the SDI IN connector or
HDMI IN connector.
S/H VITC:
Records the VITC signals added to the
signals input to the SDI IN connector or
HDMI IN connector.
Note:
When "S/H LTC" or "S/H VITC" is set and "SD SDI" is selected as
the input signal, the VITC of the input video signal is recorded.
