3. Outlines
Problem:
• Transmission of Mark signal may be missed if high-speed MORSE communication is performed in
CW mode.
• An audio output will become small if the NOISE REDUCTION is turned ON.
• SQUELCH may remain closing on a receiving level, since the step of SQUELCH level is large.
Countermeasure:
Upgrade the software according to attached document "JSB-196/GM Upgrading procedures (JD-
1301-04)". Moreover, replacement of ROM and parts on TRX UNIT (CMN-1960/CMN-1960-S) are also
required. Therefore get the following Modification kit from the SERVICE GROUP (PARTS TEAM) of
MARINE SERVICE DEPARTMENT and replace them.
