Clearing the CMOS Configuration

You may need to clear the CMOS configuration if the configuration has been corrupted, or if
incorrect settings made in the Setup Utility have caused error messages to be unreadable.
To clear the configuration:
1. Turn off power to the server and disconnect the power cable from the power connector on
the system board.
2. Open the side panel.
3. Set jumper J21 to Clear CMOS (labeled "CLR CMOS").
4. Wait for five seconds, and then set jumper J21 to Normal (labeled "OPEN NORMAL").
5. Close the side panel.
6. Turn on power to the server.
7. Press the Delete key to run the Setup Utility when
displays.
8. Make any configuration changes required.
9. Select the Exit option and save the changes to save the configuration and exit the Setup
Utility.

Description
Keyboard is not present or the hardware is not responding when the
keyboard controller is initialized.
Keyboard Controller failure. This may indicate a problem with
system hardware.
The system has been halted. A reset or power cycle is required to
reboot the system. This message displays after a fatal error has
been detected.
