Note
Remove loose or
peeling labels from tapes
to prevent tape jam.

Press STOP/EJECT to stop and/ or
eject tape.

Ready Check List
All connections are made (pg. 10, 12, 28).
TV and VCR are plugged in.
TV is on and tuned to CH3, 4, or VIDEO.
Remote is in VCR mode. (Press VCR.)
1 Insert a tape.
• VCR power comes on.
"VCR" lights up on Multi Function Display.
2 Press PLAY*
to play a tape.
• If tape has no rec. tab (pg. 4), auto play begins.
PLAY
Special Features During Play
Forward/ Reverse scene search
FF
--> Press FF or REW.
--> Press again or PLAY to release.
STOP
Still (Freeze) picture
--> Press PAUSE/SLOW.
--> Press PLAY to release.
Frame by Frame picture
--> Press PAUSE/SLOW in Still mode.
--> Press PLAY to release.
Slow Motion picture
--> Hold down PAUSE/SLOW in Still mode.
--> Press PLAY to release.
Notes
• These features work best in SP or SLP mode.
• The sound will be muted.
• To reduce picture noise,
see "Manual Tracking Control" on page 46.
• After the VCR is in Still or Slow mode
for 3 minutes, it will switch to Stop mode
automatically to protect the tape and the video
head.

Press PLAY.

Rapid Rewind/FF
PLAY
REW FF
STOP/EJECT
REC REC
Press REW or FF in Stop mode
to rewind/ fast forward a tape.
• Rewind tapes in approximately one minute
when using a T-120 tape.
Press EJECT on the remote,
or STOP/EJECT on VCR to eject a tape.
