Using Optional Conversion Lenses

Using Optional Conversion Lenses
Attaching the optional TL-H58 Tele-converter increases the focal length of
the camcorder by a factor of approximately 1.5. Attaching the optional
68
WD-H58W Wide-converter decreases the focal length by a factor of
approximately 0.8. When you attach a conversion lens, perform the
procedure below to optimize the autofocus and minimum object distance
for the particular lens.
Operating modes:
1 Open the [Conversion Lens] submenu.
[l Camera Setup]
2 Select [TL-H58] or [WD-H58W] and then press SET.
• If the autofocus is set to Instant AF or Medium AF, it will change to Normal AF.
• The minimum object distance throughout the entire zoom range will be approximately 130 cm (4.3 ft) when
using the tele-converter and approximately 40 cm (1.3 ft) when using the wide-converter.
• Select [Off] if you do not intend to use a conversion lens.
NOTES
• If you set an assignable button to [TL-H58] or [WD-H58W] (0 98), you can press the button to optimize the
settings for the selected conversion lens.
• Vignetting may occur when taking wide angle shots with a tele-converter.
• The approximate subject distance displayed on the screen will change depending on the [Conversion Lens]
setting. If you are not using a conversion lens, select [Off].
