Replacing an adapter card

This section provides instructions on how to replace an adapter card.
1. Open the computer cover. See "Opening the cover" on page 88.
2. Rotate the adapter card retainer 1 to the open position.
3. Remove the adapter card 2 .
4. Remove the new adapter from its static-protective package.
5. Install the new adapter card in the adapter card connector.
6. Ensure the adapter is fully seated into the adapter connector.
7. Close the adapter card retainer.
8. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 112.
