If a CMP/memory module fails, the CMP/memory module must be replaced. It is
not possible to continue operation simply by degrading a faulty CMP/memory
module.
Precaution to Follow Concerning a CMP/Memory
Module Failure
With this product, all the following IO devices are connected to each CMP.

The IO devices connected to one CMP that has completely failed become unusable.

Cable Management Arm

The following conditions apply to the use of a Cable Management Arm (CMA) on a
SPARC Enterprise T5440 server:
Follow the description in "PCIe Slot Configuration Guidelines" to determine the
slot for mounting a PCI card/XAUI card.
The "PCIe Slot Configuration Guidelines" are included in Chapter 4, "Servicing
Customer-Replaceable Unit (CRU)" (under "Servicing PCIe Cards"), in the SPARC
Enterprise T5440 Server Service Manual.
Depending on the type of the selected card (Link Kit/Card using an optical
cable/SCSI card/XVR card/SAS card) and slot, the following conditions apply:
For Slot 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4:
Do not route the cables through the CMA itself, but use the free space on top of
the CMA. When a link kit is installed, do not use the CMA.
For Slot 5, 6 or 7:
