Connection to the water
supply
The machine should be connected to a
mains water supply in accordance with
current local and national safety
regulations.
The machine is designed to operate
with a flow pressure of between
100 kPa and 1000 kPa. If it is higher
than 1000 kPa, it is essential to fit a
pressure reducing valve.
Connection to the mains water supply
should incorporate a mains tap with
thread. The tap should be fitted by a
qualified plumber.

The connection point is subject
to mains water pressure. Turn on the
tap slowly and check for leaks.
Correct the position of the washer
and union if appropriate.
The washing machine is not suitable
for connection to a hot water supply,
and connection to a household
water softener is not recommended.
Maintenance and care
Only use a genuine Miele hose should
you ever need a replacement or
extension. These are tested to
withstand pressure of at least 7000 kPa.
Installation and connection
In order to protect the water inlet
valve, the two dirt filters - one in the
open end of the inlet hose, one at
the inlet point in the machine- must
not be removed.
Extension hose
– Longer hoses 2.5 or 4.0 m in length
are available from Miele as optional
extras.
This appliance incorporates backflow
protection complying with ATS
