Character Displays on the
Picture Monitor
The system statuses and the results of the self-diagnosis
can be displayed on the monitor connected to the PIX
connector.
To display
Press the CANCEL/CHARACTER button when the
display of this unit shows the status indications (page 11).
The last page you operated appears on the monitor screen.
(In some cases, the display OFF (no signal) page may
appear first.)
Each press of the CANCEL/CHARACTER button
advances the page.
You can operate in the same manner using the
CHARACTER button of the RCP-700-series remote
control panel connected to the REMOTE connector.
To turn off the character display (display
OFF)
Hold the CANCEL/CHARACTER button pressed when
the monitor shows a character display. The display will be
paged in sequence and stop at the display OFF (no signal)
page.
Page 1: Status indications
The operating conditions of this unit and the camera are
displayed.

The top line shows the receiving center frequency,
modulation format, time-interleave mode, and DC-IN
voltage of this unit.
The second line shows the AUTO operation mode of the
camera.
The information on the lens extender (EX is displayed
when in use), filter, gain, iris, and shutter are displayed at
the bottom.
If an error occurs, an error message appears in the center
of the screen.

The statuses of this unit are displayed.

Stream Sel: Operating mode of the stream selector
IF1/IF2: Reception level and supply voltage (an asterisk
appears for the input being selected.)
A reception level is represented by white blocks. When
the level rises, the number of white blocks increases.
When the level is low, "LOW" is displayed, and
"HIGH" is displayed when the level is high.
If trouble is detected in the connection at the IF
connectors, information on the detected trouble is
displayed.
